Decluttering our home is one of my favorite things to do. Clutter can silently take over.
It can make a simple task feel so overwhelming. And so we don’t like to deal with it.
I visited a family member recently and I couldn’t believe the amount of things they’ve been holding onto.
There was so much clutter everywhere. Walking through her house is like visiting an antique store. I mean don’t get me wrong, I love antique stores. You can find some gems in there.
Packed in her closets were broken toys, books, blankets, unworn clothes, handbags, shoes, etc. There was a lot of things she doesn’t even know she has.
Where there were drawers; there was so much stuff crammed in it. Dust piled everywhere.
Don’t get me wrong I love a good antique store but I don’t think we need that much stuff in our homes. It causes unnecessary stress. And it can cause health problems. In her case it did.
